I bought three XBLA games during the Xbox LIVE Holiday Deal program also mentioned by Major Nelson. In addition to the Deal of the Week there was a deal every day of December. I wasn't even able to buy anything DLC or through a code before (my old account being incorrectly set to USA), so now that they got cheaper it was a good time to finally buy some XBLA games.

Shadow Complex (800/1200 points)
The only game I played so far. I didn't see the attraction before, but since it's been getting such good reviews I quickly tried the demo and it was fun. I figured I'd probably like the full game as well. It turns out I'm actually enjoying it quite a lot.

The Maw (400/800 points)
I understand the game is good (the demo seemed to be), just a little short, but paying half the usual price should offset that.

Castle Crashers (560/1200 points)
Again lots of good reviews, and I actually played the demo for this when it came out.

I also got some free, celebratory 2010 Glasses for my Avatar and a free New Years Theme.

Out of curiosity I checked the deals with my USA account as well as with my new NL account. Besides the differences in rentable videos, I noticed the USA deals showed things like "More than half of", whereas the NL versions more precisely stated "53% off".

Castle Crashers is fun. I bought that one for my brother's 360, and we played through the first few levels a bit. I don't know whether or not he's going to try and finish it, though.
I'll probably have to play it alone. @Nossie always says he'll play some games with me, but he never does. He's always busy playing WoW. I don't know that many people who play games, but I guess I can always look for them online. Games tend to be more fun when played with others, so hopefully we'll both get to play through Castle Crashers like that.

Good to hear another positive comment on a game I just bought though. :)
Castle Crashers is great but much more fun co-op. Also you should try The Maw DLC levels (as they are only 100 MSP each) which add to the length of the game, and have the same fun style of game-play as well - although I've already got 250/250 G's on The Maw!

Just played the demo for Shadow Complex and really enjoyed it; would have bought it but I didn't have any points at the time!
Still haven't played Castle Crashers, but I'm pretty far along with Shadow Complex now.

Since I only just started using MSPs, I had to look up the 300 for the three "The Maw" DLC levels. (Because they are called "Deleted Scenes", at first I didn't even realise they are additional levels.) It's only €3.50, so I guess I'll follow your advice. :) Thanks.
