First of all, an official trailer video for Beyond Good & Evil 2 was released a while ago, so you will want to watch that first. See the SD version or the HD version on GameTrailers.

New however is this video on YouTube, supposedly containing leaked BG&E2 footage.

The video looks pre-rendered, but I wouldn't mind playing parts of BG&E2 that way. There seem to be no anthropomorphic animals or anything else alien you'd find on Hyllis. The location looks inspired by India, Earth actually. The original game never mentioned Earth or discussed humans specifically, but it's possible Earth does exist and the sequels features it. Maybe the video is just a proof of concept thing using a placeholder location and placeholder enemies. Whatever the case, the running woman looks identical to Jade in the first teaser.

We can only hope for a sequel. It was a crime (punishable by death) that nobody bought the first game. One of the greats of the previous generation. The video (I actually saw it on Kotaku last night) got me all kinds of excited.
It looked a bit like they had modded game play from Mirror's Edge. That game gave me motion sickness. But the (hopefully) preview of BGaE2 was really good. I loved the first game and I'm praying the second will be just as gum-smacking delicious. :)
BG&E is still one of the best games I know. And I really hope number 2 will be even better. But just what Jezmyn says, it gives a bit of a Mirror's Edge (with a little bit Assassins Creed) feeling. I don't know if that is such a good thing. But if the rest of the game is more like BG&E than it will be a must have.
I think almost everybody agrees it's a shame barely anybody played BG&E, and just a fraction of the people who played it say the rest is overhyping the game afterwards, that it wasn't the single most perfect game that ever existed. I suppose the last part is true, but the game is still sold, especially through digital distribution, so I'm all for word of mouth/Web advertising; this game deserves to be played!

The original has some running and escaping, I remember a specific rooftop scene particularly. The video looks like that taken to the next level. And yes, it does remind me of Mirror's Edge (which I still need to play) and Assassin's Creed (which I still need to finish) as well. I suppose that's to be expected. Like Ysgrublaidd, as long as other elements of the original game return as well (platforming, vehicle driving, racing, puzzle solving, cataloguing animal species, etc.), the sequel should be lots of fun.
What I think that was best of BG&E was the story. I mean, the whole game was awesome and on my first playthrough one of the best games I've ever played but the story is one of the things I enjoyed about it. Remember that Pey'j suddenly seems to be the leader of the resistance you were working for? Amazing plottwist because Pey'j didn't want you to work for them anyways.
I love a good story in a game (apparently unlike most I actually watch intros and cutscenes, choose to have the optional dialogue in games), and I agree. The universe as a whole is cool, filled with interesting characters. That is why I hope the sequel will be as alien as the original.

Of course according to this interview a sequel is not a sure thing, but I remain hopeful!
