Almost all of the King's Quest and Space Quest games have just been released on Steam as the
tiberian sun / firestorm tells me to reinstall, when i try to launch it (but they only distribute a pre-installed version that you need to unpack), tiberian dawn doesn't run the setup (i mounted the images and it tells me to check the cd).
In case you missed it, the page does link to some installation instructions for Tiberium Dawn, but I'm guessing you read those already. There is a link at the bottom of that page with additional info for the the different Windows versions.
There are also installation instructions for Tiberium Sun, but those basically say: unpack and start playing.
