I started gaming on an Atari 800 XL, or perhaps the Atari 2600. I also played on a Monarch XTL-4 Video-Sporter, by Makuport Electronics, that offered Tennis, Squash, Soccer, and Practice modes.
Eventually I completely moved on to the PC (DOS and and later Windows). Adventure games, especially Sierra's Quest games, and later the Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts games, were my favourite genre at the time. These days they are barely made, but I also like the games now called (action) adventure games. The genre I play most though, is the FPS. It started out with Wolfenstein 3D, then Doom, Doom II, Duke Nukem 3D, Unreal Tournament and its sequels, as well as others.

The Xbox 360 is the first console I bought, but not the only one I played.
In general I love a good story; I don't skip cutscenes, pay attention to a game's lore, and wait through the end credits just in case there is a little something extra at the end. I also like exploring game worlds, look for hidden stuff, or just watch the scenery.
